About the Subject

• Darryl Gerard "D. J." Augustin, Jr.  played point guard for the University of Texas Longhorns from 2006 -2008. He was the ninth overall NBA draft pick in 2008
• Terrance Jerod "T. J." Ford played for the Texas Longhorns from 2001 - 2003. In his first season Ford's play ensured that Texas made it to the Sweet Sixteen, while he recorded 15 double-digit assist games, and was named a consensus Big 12 Freshman of the Year. In 2003, the sophomore was third in the nation in assists and led the Longhorns in scoring, assists and steals. To honor Ford, his #11 jersey was retired
  
• Slater Martin set a record in 1949 for putting up 49 points playing for the Texas Longhorns against the opposing Texas Christian University team. Throughout his career with the Longhorns, Martin averaged 12.7 points per game. His jersey number 15 was retired by the University of Texas on January 31, 2009
